Authority Over Frogs (Three Frogs Part 4)

In the previous posts of this series (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3), we looked at the three frogs of paganism, humanism, and false religion that are in abundance in our world, our nation, our universities, our schools and churches, our media, and our home — even into our bedrooms because of TV, tablets, computers, phones, music, and more.

“Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared. And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty… And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, Armageddon” (Revelation 16:12-14, 16).

I received a phone call since the last post, telling me that there were dangerous people (or demon-possessed people?) in this world who didn’t want me talking about “frogs” or exposing them, and that they would stop at nothing to make me be quiet. Other teachers (like Brad Scott from Wildbranch Ministry) were also under attack, I heard. In fact, Brad was diagnosed with stage 2 brain cancer after getting seriously ill in December 2019. According to his own words, he was exposing “the three frogs” when he got sick, just as I have been:

“As a side note, I wanted to mention something very personal and deeply concerning to me. On December 21st, 2019 I began an audio series addressing what I have always believed about the image of the beast in the book of [Revelation]. I believe that it is the internet or the information highway. This is not a subject I would usually address. I began compiling the research on December 21st followed by my first seizure the very next day. When returning home from my first hospital stay I began the recording of the series followed by my next seizure the very next day. Since I began this teaching, our offices have been under consistent attack, including difficulties with the graphics and other demonic-like issues I will not bore you with at this time. In the series I address the deep neural networks of the internet and how they work, as they are almost a duplication of how our brains work. I found that the very network I was exposing was consuming my own brain and hence the seizures followed by the diagnosis of an astrocytoma. By now, you must be thinking that either Brad has lost his mind or that perhaps I live just too close to Colorado! What happened to me was not just a physical thing. The adversary has done everything he can to keep this series from being completed. I believe that this is actually his plan for everyone. Our world is being consumed with evil information. I am fully aware that most of us are already in the helpless position of being tied to internet devices. Oh, there is so much more to be said. I am begging the body of Messiah to find another way for us to communicate and to keep these devices away from our faces and the lives of our children” (source).

Our offices have also been under attack, with major computer systems struggling with “technical difficulties” from around January 17 until February 13. We’ve also been fighting vague illnesses and fatigue… and it was just all too coincidental.

I spent several days in fear and misery, until the Father showed me something powerful in His Word.

The Book of Revelation Is About the King of Kings

I’d been too busy being fearful of frogs to notice a pattern in the book of Revelation. The vision John had was all about how much authority our King has! I went through the entire book, and here is just a sampling of the references I found — for there are more!

• He sits on a throne (Revelation 1:4).
• He is the ruler of the kings of the earth (Revelation 1:5).
• He will rule the nations with an iron scepter (Revelation 2:26-27).
• He holds the key of David, the highest throne on earth (Revelation 3:7).
• He is still sitting on a throne (Revelation 4:2).
• He has already begun to reign (Revelation 11:15, 17).
• He is King of the ages (Revelation 15:5).

And beyond that, He wants us to rule and reign with Him, not with our own independent power, but with the exousia (authority) that He has freely delegated to us, imparting His own dunamis (mighty power) to us.

• He has made us a kingdom and priests (Revelation 1:6).
• He says that the kingdom is ours (Revelation 1:9).
• He has given us authority over the nations, just as He has received authority from the Father (Revelation 2:26-27).
• No one can take our crown away (Revelation 3:11).
• He has given us the right to sit with Him on His throne (Revelation 3:21).
• We are still a kingdom and priests (Revelation 5:10).
• We have authority on earth (Revelation 11:6).
• Around and from His throne, we will be given authority to judge (Revelation 20:4).
• We will reign with Messiah for 1000 years (Revelation 20:4-5).

The King Has Authority over Frogs

Here’s what really caught my eye as I’ve been reading through Matthew and Mark in my daily Bible reading the past few weeks. Just exactly what are frogs, besides voices speaking into our world of paganism, humanism, and false religion?

“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are spirits of demons” (Revelation 16:13-14).

The frogs are simply unclean spirits. They are demons.

Now, yes, I know that unclean spirits are indeed fearful things. The spirits guarding the Euphrates river and preparing the way for the kings of the earth to do battle are probably principalities and powers of the highest order and magnitude.

But Yeshua has authority over unclean spirits!

“Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, saying, ‘Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Yeshua of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!’

“But Yeshua rebuked him, saying, ‘Be quiet, and come out of him!’

“And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him.

“Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, ‘What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him‘” (Mark 1:23-27).

“Then they were all amazed and spoke among themselves, saying, ‘What a word this is! For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out‘” (Luke 4:36).

Nothing has changed! My friend Christine reminded me that these demonic frogs, these unclean spirits, were only voices. They could walk around like a roaring lion and make a lot of scary noise, but under King Yeshua, they have no choice but to obey Him.

And indeed, Yeshua has given this same authority to command unclean spirits to us!

“And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power (exousia) over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease” (Matthew 10:1).

“And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits… So they went out and preached that people should repent. And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick, and healed them” (Mark 6:7, 12-13).

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover” (Mark 16:15-18).

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

This power and authority continued throughout the book of Acts, showing us what is normal for the disciples of Yeshua.

“Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed” (Acts 5:16).

“Therefore those who were scattered went everywhere preaching the word. Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Messiah to them. And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed. And there was great joy in that city” (Acts 8:4-8).

“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and YHVH will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much” (James 5:14-16).

Now I do note that persecution and bad things will come, as the Dragon wars against the people of God, those “who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Yeshua the Messiah” (Revelation 12:17). But Yeshua promises that even if we drink something deadly, the Evil One cannot conquer us. Even if we fight to the death, the Enemy may appear to win — but wait! There is a resurrection!

The Frogs Aren’t the Only Voices

The reason we have been given free authority to cast out unclean spirits in our world is that the kingdom is already here. It is not waiting for the future only.

Yeshua said,

“If I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you” (Matthew 12:28).

Yes, I admit that the Kingdom will be better and greater in the future. That’s because the Prince of the Power of the Air has also been given permission to rule for a short time, and we await his defeat and for Yeshua to be installed as King on a physical throne in Jerusalem.

“You once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience” (Ephesians 2:2).

“It was granted to [the Beast] to make war with the saints and to overcome them. And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue, and nation” (Revelation 13:7).

But if we spend all our time looking at the giants in the land, believing an evil report that they are so powerful that we must cower and hide, then we are not looking at the greater power of our King!

We should not be dismissive of the reports of the enemy fighting against us. He is indeed real and powerful. However, listening to the voice of fear only distracts us from our real job, which is to go everywhere preaching the Word, and while we are going, to cast out unclean spirits and heal in His name.

You see, the Internet, television, radio, music, and all the other voices in the air can also be used to proclaim Truth. Yes, there is a war going on, but let’s consider the powerful voice of YHVH that is also being poured out like water over the entire earth during this time. (After all, how did you and everyone you know come to truth?)

Proclaim this among the nations:
“Prepare for war!
Wake up the mighty men,
Let all the men of war draw near,
Let them come up.
Beat your plowshares into swords
And your pruning hooks into spears;
Let the weak say, ‘I am strong.’ ”
Assemble and come, all you nations,
And gather together all around.
Cause Your mighty ones to go down there, YHVH.

“Let the nations be wakened, and come up to the Valley of Jehoshaphat;
For there I will sit to judge all the surrounding nations.
Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe.
Come, go down;
For the winepress is full,
The vats overflow—
For their wickedness is great.”

Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision!
For the day of YHVH is near in the valley of decision.
The sun and moon will grow dark,
And the stars will diminish their brightness.

YHVH also will roar from Zion,
And utter His voice from Jerusalem;
The heavens and earth will shake;
But YHVH will be a shelter for His people,
And the strength of the children of Israel. (Joel 3:9-16)

Take a look at those verses again. Yes, there is a battle coming, and yes, the kings of the earth are preparing to fight against YHVH. However, note that YHVH is causing His own mighty ones to be there, too. That’s us, if we will prepare ourselves with our armor and open our mouths boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel (Ephesians 6:10-20). Prepare daily, dear ones!

As it says, there are “multitudes in the valley of decision.” A decision implies that there are TWO choices, both evil and good! If our voices are not going out on the airways, then how do these verses predict that multitudes will be faced with a decision? Speak loudly, dear ones!

The “sun and moon will grow dark, and the stars will diminish their brightness.” The rulers of this world, as powerful as their voices may be, think that they represent the deities and gods of the ages, but their light will grow dark and their brightness is only going to diminish. Take courage, dear ones!

“YHVH will also roar from Zion, and utter His voice from Jerusalem.” The frogs are making a lot of noise, we admit, but can the roar of Satan compare to the mighty roar of the Creator? Be bold, dear ones! Join your voice with His!

“For the earth will be filled
With the knowledge of the glory of YHVH,
As the waters cover the sea” (Habakkuk 2:14).

Be loud as you declare the gospel! We know who WINS!

Yet hear now, O Jacob My servant,
And Israel whom I have chosen.
Thus says YHVH who made you
And formed you from the womb, who will help you:

‘Fear not, O Jacob My servant;
And you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.
For I will pour water on him who is thirsty,
And floods on the dry ground;
I will pour My Spirit on your descendants,
And My blessing on your offspring;
They will spring up among the grass
Like willows by the watercourses.’
One will say, ‘I am YHVH’s’;
Another will call himself by the name of Jacob;
Another will write with his hand, ‘YHVH’s,’
And name himself by the name of Israel (Isaiah 44:1-5).

I hope you’ve already taken steps to clean the frogs out of your home, so that you refuse to listen to their voices. Are you replacing those voices with the voice of YHVH, allowing Him to roar into your home through the Word of God and the Spirit of God, daily letting Him speak by opening His Word and reading it, both to yourself and to your children?

Are you a blogger? Are you a writer? Are you a social-media sharer? Speak loudly, and pour the water of the Spirit of God over the face of the earth. Do it gently, do it kindly, but do it boldly.

It’s possible that evil is watching you everywhere you go, spying on you, trying to put you out of commission. Be like Daniel, who was told to stop praying three times a day to his God. Rather than stop, he continued — and this time, in front of the window, so that all could see! Don’t hide your light! Let it shine brightly! No fear! If they throw you in jail, sing louder! Pray with more faith that He will answer!

Strengthen yourself in YHVH, and act like a king and a priest. Remember that we are on the winning side. Go into our world boldly and preach the gospel and lovingly share truth. Be louder than those frogs!

“And Yeshua came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20).
