FOR TODAY, MONDAY, MARCH 9, 2009…
Outside my window… Snow, slush, fog, and more snow. Must be Minnesota! Who would be willing to share some springtime with me?
I am thinking… about autoimmune thyroid disease. Been pondering it and reading about it all weekend.
I am thankful for… a wonderful husband. Maybe I’ve said it before, but he really is the best. I’m so sorry for all the other women in the world. I’m hogging the best to myself.
From the learning rooms… Getting ready to start my daughter on “Spell to Write and Read” tomorrow, thanks to some help from my online friend Britta.
From the kitchen… I’m getting ready to start a batch of chili for supper tonight. Yum!
I am wearing… a black turtleneck and some comfortable jeans. This turtleneck is one of my favorites, because it’s soft, cuddly, and warm.
I am creating… a new book on adrenal fatigue. I’m praying that it will be released in May sometime. For more info, read this.
I am going… to Staples today to laminate some flashcards for our homeschool.
I am reading… The Disciplines of the Beautiful Woman, by Anne Ortlund. I’ve read it so many times that I feel like it’s memorized, but it’s one of my favorite books.
I am hoping… that we can find a good sale on mattresses soon. We need two for our girls’ bedroom.
I am hearing… the sound of Tom and Jerry. My little ones are so cute when they giggle watching it!
Around the house… Everyone is laying around at the moment. It was a big week last week, and since this is my husband’s day off, we’re taking advantage of the quiet.
One of my favorite things… is this coffee I’m drinking.
A few plans for the rest of the week… normal stuff.
Here is picture thought I am sharing… we worked all last week to set up and decorate a guest room in our basement. Well, here it is! We were able to host some missionaries from Japan this past Friday night. What a blessing! (The only thing I’m missing is a sham for one of the pillows. I know it’s in a box around here somewhere….)
Click on over to the Simple Woman’s Daybook and read some great entries from other blogs. Thanks for visiting me today!
Hugs,
~Anne
