FOR TODAY, MONDAY, MARCH 23, 2009…
Outside my window…A nice spring rain is falling. My bird feeders are up now outside the big picture window in my living room, and the finches have found us. (The cat found the finches. She’s sitting at the window, wishing she could catch one.)
I am thinking… about the immune system. I’ve done a ton of research on this all week, and I’m amazed at God’s handiwork. I’ve also been thinking about verses like “by him all things consist” (Colossians 1:17) and “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27). If I start to realize the complexity of my own human body — and how MANY things can go wrong! — then I am even more amazed by the power of Jesus who lives in me and imparts His life and power to me. Hallelujah!
I am thankful for… a God who answers prayers SPECIFICALLY. “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:7).
From the learning rooms… We need to learn about bicycle safety this week. My children are new to bike-riding (since we used to live in the country, with no place to ride our bikes). Now that we’re “town folk,” the kids and their bikes are inseparable. So it’s time for a unit on which side of the road to ride on, how to act with cars, etc.
From the kitchen… This is the week I start my annual “spring cleaning,” getting rid of yeast for upcoming Passover.
I am wearing… STILL in my pajamas!!!! Do I ever wear anything else on a Monday morning?????
I am creating… some of the web systems to handle my upcoming book. A little boring… but necessary.
I am going… to visit a friend in town this week. She’s invited us all over to her home, and it will be a lot of fun.
I am reading… The Schwarzbein Principle II: The Transition, Beyond Antibiotics, Organizing for the Creative Person (thanks, Aunt Dianne!), and the book of Colossians.
I am hoping… to get lots of things done this week!
I am hearing… the rain fall on my window, and my 4-year-old daughter tell me what she wants to do today.
Around the house… I need to get ready for the visit of my sister-in-law this weekend. Yippee!!
One of my favorite things… my daughter answers for me: “Chocolate chips!”
A few plans for the rest of the week… record the final session of my health class (Q&A this week… don’t miss it!!!), do lots of computer programming and writing, do a little more research on the immune system, get my sewing boxes unpacked, and if the weather permits, do a little yard work.
Here is a picture thought I am sharing… (taken just this morning. See the cat watching the birds?)
Click on over to the Simple Woman’s Daybook and read some great entries from other blogs. Thanks for visiting me today!
Hugs,

Noel, I have NOT written on it at all. I would be HAPPY to write about it. Will you give me a few more days? I’m absolutely thrilled to pieces about what I’ve learned so far! It’s amazing stuff. In the meantime, check out that book I’m reading… Beyond Antibiotics. It’s probably out of print, but I found it at my local library. It’s been quite helpful.
God willing, I’ll post later this week. Maybe I’ll put it in my newsletter… (thinking out loud here)

Awww… you have all made my husband feel good. 🙂 I think he’s got a real gift for graphics. (And just be thankful that I didn’t do it… LOL)

Any information on the immune system would be great! Could you write about this on your blog. You may have already, but it’s a Monday morning and I won’t have time to thoroughly look at your blog until tonight, but I am SO glad I found it 🙂
