Whew! It’s over!
I was really, honestly, very nervous about our first “health class” over at my health website today! My palms were sweating, and my voice felt shaky.
But I think it went really well. My friend Cathy joined me, and it was just like talking on the phone with a good friend. (She IS a good friend!) She has put in countless hours of preparation time to help me get ready for these classes, and I appreciate her so much. In addition, she’s an amazing prayer warrior, who brings every little detail to God in prayer, usually right over the phone with me. No worrying allowed when Cathy is there! 🙂
Over a year ago, I presented these health classes at a retreat put on by the employees of a Christian counseling center. We had a wonderful time, over three days, talking about health and preparing (and eating) yummy food together. Our facility even had a hot tub, so it was a great three days of fun and fellowship.
They asked me if I would ever consider offering these health classes anywhere else. Well, I can get to be a pretty busy lady, so I hesitated adding one more thing to my schedule. But over the year, so many circumstances arose in which it felt God was whispering to me, “Anne, do the classes!” that now we’re doing it!
So last November, before I moved away from Iowa, I asked my good friend Cathy if she’d help me. We’ve had a lot of fun discussing all sorts of things in preparation for this. We even took a field trip of a grocery store, and we’re going to attempt to replicate that fun experience during one of our classes.
If you can join us, you would have a great time. Hopefully, you’ll learn a few new tricks as well! If you can’t join us LIVE each Wednesday, don’t worry. All the audios are uploaded to my website right after each class. I know one friend who is planning to listen to the mp3’s during her morning work-out.
Well, it feels so good to have one done. Only 7 more to go! 🙂 Now I need to go. Our van is in the shop (getting the brakes worked on… again), and I need to go get it. (If only there were a class on how to keep VANS healthy!)
Hugs,
~Anne
