I almost ordered out for pizza tonight. Besides the fact that pizza’s expensive and it’s hard to find some without pork toppings, it’s unhealthy with trans-fats in the crust and a general deficit of nutrition.
But it’s easy! I’ve been packing boxes all day today, and I’m tired! Thankfully, my sweet husband has come to the rescue and is making home-made stir-fry with beef and ginger (served over rice). I love him!
Moving is extraordinarily busy and tiring, but many homes are having trouble making home-cooked meals these days, according to food editor Caroline Cummins from Culinate.com. I stumbled upon Culinate’s great website while looking for a stir-fry recipe for my husband.
“In other words, “starting from scratch” is a seriously daunting endeavor if you don’t already know how to do it,” Caroline writes.
I thought Culinate was a very helpful place to start, filled with articles and recipes. I’ll check it out some more… in January… after I’ve unpacked… while I’m eating pizza stir-fry.

Thank you for providing this place to “talk” and “listen” to other Christians. I haven’t always lived a Christian life but God has been doing his work in me for a while and he has given me many blessings. A few years ago I was getting more and more concerned about our food and he sent the holy spirit to me who whispered Daniel to me. The first chapter really says it all. “We shouldn’t be eating from the kings table” and who is the king in this country, well the ones with the power and money of course. Then today I was thinking of what God would say about GMO foods and again I hear from the holy spirit “Leviticus” and I found Leviticus 19:19. After that I went and cooked stir-fry and long grained rice for my family. (Funny you called Pizza, Stir-fry LOL) After dinner I started thinking about a letter I wanted to write to a Pastor I know, who has a very large congregation, about GMO’s and the passage in Leviticus and chapter 1 of Daniel. Of course being me, I forgot which passage is was is Leviticus, but I knew enough of what it said that a Google search led me here and I’m very glad. I’m adding two links for you to look at whenever you find time. I think both are significant in there own way, and prophetic too.
This first one is about GM foods and how they may be affecting our bodies. All you have to ask is, Why is this
one of the sickest nations on earth? The second one is of Messianic Jewish Rabbi speaking at the presidential inaugural prayer breakfast in 2013 and what he said blew me away and actually ties in to the other issue too.
