I would have to say burgers although fried chicken is good tooo. Not much on potato salad though. Congrats on #7. Adam and Hannah just had #4 boy Landon Michael born on the 12th.

As a canadian, I do not celebrate Memorial Day. We have just come through our Victoria Day weekend in honour of Queen Victoria. My 11yo dd and I love all the wonderful summer foods … hamburgers on a grill, watermellon, fried chicken, potato salad, etc. … there is not one favourite among them.
I am the mother of 6 beautiful children. Five of them were born and raised before I stopped obeying the world and started obeying God. They are out in the world but solidly in my prayers every day. My youngest (11yo dd) has come to the Lord and is a baptized believer. (PTL!) I educate her at home and we are alone, just the two of us.

My favorite food would probably be in the dessert category – angel food cake! But what I treasure most in just having my family: my loving husband Butch, son Matt, daughter Libby, and son Michael with his family: wife Tara and two beautiful children, Gracie and Andrew. What a wonderful blessing.

I love to either buy or make homemade macaroni salad (my personal favorite) with grilled hamburgers and beef only hotdogs with a variety of chips/dip. Ice cream makes a good desert. My children and I like to go to the Memorial Day service put on by the local VFW group at the local cemetary and Waterfront park in downtown St. Mary’s. It is a good experience for them and myself.
Then we come home, and I grill the hot dogs/hamburgers while I play some military patriotic/marching music most of the day. We also watch the national Memorial day service on television if we haven’t missed it.
