An online friend of mine, Greg White from http://healthstatus.com, has been working very hard to release a new diet and menu system, and I’m excited because I get to try it out! Everything I’ve seen of it so far is really cool.

For instance, I can give it my food preferences (no pork or soy, please), and it will customize a menu plan and grocery list for me. I’m hoping this will be a big help as we’re starting school soon. Some weeks, I just don’t feel very creative when it comes to thinking up what we’re going to have for dinner all week, especially when I’ve been teaching school, cleaning house, returning phone calls, and working online.
The system will email me with my grocery list, I’ll check off what’s already in the house and add toilet paper and all… then I’m done. What a time saver!
If my husband asks for burgers instead of something on the system’s menu, then I simply log in and change it. It recalculates everything, including telling us if we’re eating too many carbs. (Which we probably would be, with hamburgers on buns for supper).
My husband has been wanting to lose some weight, so I’ll have to keep you posted on if this helps him. A lot of the reason he hasn’t lost much is because the “cook” (that’s me) never knows what to fix. I just lack creativity most days! (He has lost a few pounds, though! I’m proud of him…)
I’m excited at the ability to customize this system, which means I’m planning to continue eating Sally-Fallon style. What a help this should be!
Greg isn’t sure that stay-at-home, homeschooling, VERY busy moms like us will like it. I invite your comments on what you think is good and bad about his system, and I’ll be sure to pass them on to him. Let’s encourage him! I think he’s doing a great job.
